Shots East Village
The International Franchise Expo (https://www.ifeinfo.com/) at the Javits Center (https://www.javitscenter.com/) in New York was an interesting experience for the SHOTS Family. We were able to meet interesting people from various walks of life in the franchise world. Visitors from everywhere travel to New York for what is arguably one of the largest Franchise Expos of the year in the Western Hemisphere. As one would expect, the Expo has a high concentration of New York Elites. Only serious movers and shakers looking for the next big concept to dominate their chosen markets were out in stride this year (2019).
This was the SHOTS’ first time showing its concept at a show like this. We knew what to expect and were ready to tackle the show. The concept showed well as it peaked interest from what we considered to be “all the right people”. The most difficult part about franchising is finding the “right fit”. After weeding through a mountain of hay, we arrived at the needle. New York nightlife entrepreneurs Shawn Patrick and Shak were awarded the first SHOTS bar franchise unit. After meeting these nightlife empresarios, the founding team at SHOTS are certain this is the proper fit to bring the SHOTS concept to the masses in New York.
By purchasing the rights to the 5 boroughs, these gentlemen have cemented their position in the market and will be privy to first mover advantages, established vendor relationships, ongoing marketing support, consulting and many other benefits that come when one buys into a franchise system. SHOTS East Village Owner, Shawn Patrick, is quoted as saying “I’m a void filler, and The SHOTS franchises ability to provide multiple / interchangeable vibes gives me the power to fill almost ANY void I see fit. The lead concept (Artisanal SHOTS) is intriguing enough to attract the necessary attention to entrap / enchant future patrons for repeat visits.”. These gentlemen “get it” and the SHOTS group is excited to get this location up and running.
SHOTS’ New York’s story is only beginning to write itself as this group has further plans to expand the SHOTS footprint withing the 5 boroughs. They definitely do not want to saturate it but they believe at least one, larger and more comfortable location is within the horizon. Several locations for the second location look promising but nothing is set in stone yet. SHOTS East Village Owner, Shak, likes to say, “luck is an illusion of success, never misplace your motivation”. This investment is a true testament to this statement and Shaks’ unwavering work ethic is evident in his approach to execution.
With locations in Miami, Orlando and New York, SHOTS is carving its way through the markets of our choice. If there is a highly saturated nightlife area where thousands of locals congregate regularly, you can expect a SHOTS to be coming soon. The question is whether you will own or visit it as a guest. Shawn Patrick said it best, “To improve is to change. To perfect is to change often.”.
